Default expire domains

How does everyone feel about using expired domains with traffic to bring traffic to a website? I've talked to some people who find it dishonest and don't agree with this pratice, others don't mind. Whats your opion?

I'm of 2 minds: If the expired domains are somewhat related to the site you are driving traffic to.. No problem. This is done all the time with doorway sites.

If the domains are completely unrelated, then we ar in a grey area. For generic names, I would think it's ok. But using a site, say auto.com, to drive traffic to a site, sexywear.com, is pushing the limits quire a bit.

Just my opinion.

I believe the same. If you get a domain that points towards the topic of the site, then good. There are so many names being deleted and so many websites with deadlinks it gets anoying. I pratice picking up domains for traffic. Getting a domain for less then $10 for a year is a lot cheaper then paying $10 per month for advertising. I think I've been lucky where I've managed to pick up a few related domains that bring in some good traffic.

But I do hate seeing a domain going to an unrelated place, even worse when it goes to an adult site or a place with a ton of pop-ups.
