Should the store hack be added

a few people have asked if the store hack will be added

i was planning to but there seems to be a demand for it

most of you will recgnoise the hack - eg. dnforum etc, where points are accumulated for posts etc

what do you all think?

also - i was thinking of calling them addies

Sounds like a nice idear. It will make the forums even more interesting and would proberly promote members to post alot more

think ill add it at the weekend then

once people have a few addies ill start having auctions and competitions for domains names and advertising

Adding the store hack seems to be alot of work, and then all of a sudden this new release of vBulletin is out and you have to do it all one more time...

I am all for the hack, but prepare for a lot of extra work when upgrading your forums.

ive thought about this and regardless of the demand i dont think i will ever add this hack to the site zenanthor

there are too many complications that arise from adding a hack of this nature

* not guranteed of future updates
* members taking points too seriously and posting pointless posts to increase points
* will attract a younger crowd to webmasterads. I have no problem with any members here being young but im trying to attract people who buy and sell graphics/site/domains etc on a regular basis.

I do think it is a good idea.. but because of the above reasons I am against it (yes I know this is an old thread)
I like it on namepros though
