Expressions of Interest: Popular Video Game Review and News site for sale

After launching and running Gamer Within for almost two years now, as well as being heavily involved in various other gaming websites and projects over the year, I’ve decided it’s time to pack my bag of all the wonderful memories and things I’ve learnt and move on.

You see, as I’m sure many of you are aware, life has led me in a new direction in which I will have very little spare time remaining. I'm taking over the helm of a large and successful local business, coupled by the need for maintaining my sanity through having a social life, has left me with virtually no time left for Gamer Within. As such, I’m thinking that it’s time to sell Gamer Within and move on; I see little reason in simply closing down a website that continues to grow and expand – both traffic and content wise – when there’s a high potential that someone else could push it further into success.

I’m interested in learning if anyone here is interested in possibly purchasing Gamer Within. I’ve got a price range in mind, however, I want to hear from you on what you would consider to be a reasonable price for the site.

The site receives some solid traffic – more than almost all gaming sites I’ve seen sold here – and boasts quite an array of content, including several hundred reviews, dozens of previews, countless news pieces and an overwhelming database of game information, screenshots and trailers.

The site isn’t current pulling a large profit – largely due to my lack of interest and knowledge and trying to monetize the site. Considering its consistent and growing traffic levels and plenty of content for search engines to gobble up and promote, I imagine it wouldn’t be hard for an experienced webmaster to make some money out of.

I’m based in Australia – the site is hosted by LiquidWeb in Canada. The majority of traffic is US-based. I have contacts with every major publisher here in Australia, and receive quite a healthy number of review material on a weekly basis. Contributing writers for Gamer Within are based in Australia, Canada and the USA.

The site owns two domains - Gamer Within and Gamer Within - and also offers some content through its WordPress powered blog, found at Blogger Within

Included is a fairly active forum with a number of dedicated users. The forum contains over 12,600 posts (as of posting this).
