Default Illustrator or Photoshop?

I would like to know what most people prefer as far as clients, and graphic designers here for logos.

I am a long time Photoshop user so it comes easier for me, I find Illustrator a tad bit more confusing.

So which program do you use for your logos?
Which do most people prefer their logos to be done in?

Hi..
Regarding both Illustrator or photoshop i have some information regarding both that i wanna share here with you so you can at least get idea....
Understand that Illustrator creates vector graphics and vector text. Vector graphics consist of lines and curves that contain mathematical objects called vectors.
Know that Photoshop creates bitmapped graphics. Bitmaps consist of tiny dots of color. The eye fills in the spaces between the dots so the color appears to be solid. Bitmapped graphics are measured by the number of dots per unit - usually called dpi (dots per inch).
Realize that bitmap graphics are much larger in file size than vector graphics. Therefore, vector images take up much less storage space and can be downloaded faster.

xp, ntfs, file-in-use, setup-repair failed ot able to copy, i had error "file in use by other process", but there was no otherprocess, since it was after reboot soon after that, win failed to start [after logo displayed, just before log-in screen it restarts the computer, and so-on cycling], same happens in safe mode. there is even no boot-log info in root folder!i started win reapir from cd, which also failed on copy, with error "no space on disk" or "no source cd in drive"finaly, i went to repair console, logged as admin, and found that some folders on win drive denies file copy!for example, "driver cache" in \windows" doesn't allow a file to be copied into [copy command from repair console] from cd [drive h:] to hard drive.file is copied, i see that length is ok, but remains named as $$temp$$.~~~,so next file may not be copied. i may rename it anualy, but it is imposibleto finish huge instalation like that.this also happens on "i386" subfoledr of "driver cache" folder, but not happens on root "\windows", where i may copy files from cd without problems.is there some problem with ntfs system hierarchy, to deny file copy/rename into some folders?is there something that easily may be done [since drive is readable, i may perform data copy to another drive, but will prefer this drive to get working any suggestion?

Adobe photoshop lets you draw and edit photos in bmp format, while illustrator is in the vector format. Vector means you can upscale the pic many times and it will not lose quality.

There are no legal ways of getting them free, but there are programs like them. GIMP is a good sub for photoshop and is free.
